Al- Farabi College swimming team achieved high ranks in the swimming championship for universities

Al- Farabi College swimming team participated in the swimming championship for universities which was hosted by the Sports Federation of Saudi Universities held at King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah, and achieved the top ranking among private colleges. Swimmer Ahmed Yamen Massoud ranked third at the university level by winning the bronze medal in the 50 meters breaststroke and fourth place in the 50-meter freestyle race. The team came in the fourteenth position among more than thirty universities and colleges.

The college’s team includes: Ahmed Yamen Massoud, Yousef Elias, Khalid Mushantaf, and Abdulrahman Dereksil. In the administrative side, Kareem Qadurah joined the team and Captain Hani Badawi was the coach.  The team participated in diverse individual and group competitions and attained a high ranking in the men’s 100-meter relay among the participating universities.  All of these achievements came after after Ahmed Masoud  participated in the championship in 2012 which was held in Dammam University and won the silver and bronze medals overall and led to ninth position among universities.
